Limits and safety
A few rules help you use Persona without overloading the API or mistaking fictional data for real contact details.
Service limits
- 30 requests per minute per IP per instance; 429 and Retry-After beyond that.
- Encoded query string: 2,048 characters maximum.
- Response: 256 KiB maximum; otherwise 503 RESPONSE_TOO_LARGE.
- Browser access: GET and HEAD from any origin without credentials.
Use data carefully
Addresses are illustrative and not verified delivery destinations. Geographic coordinates represent a city. Portraits may be absent.
Format-valid fallback numbers may belong to real subscribers. Never call, text or email generated contacts, especially if you choose a live email domain.
